Greetings before a new beginning...

Dear sisters,
my name is Paolo, several years ago I was a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago and three times I was in Carrion as a hospitalero in the albergue S. Maria. 
In recent years, after finishing university, I had a missionary experience in Albania and then I started working as an engineer.

I think I can say that I continued the path I took towards Santiago in my life and never finished it. I also continued to experience the welcome of pilgrims that I learned from you with the poor I met in Caritas in my city. 

With the month of August, I left my job and on Sunday 1 October I will begin the Novitiate with the Jesuits of the Euro-Mediterranean province. I don't know if any nuns from your community still remember me, but for me there were fundamental meetings and dialogues that helped me to know the Lord better and better. 

Every day I wear the cross that you gave me when I began my experience as hospitalero and I still carry with me that little paper star that I received as a pilgrim. I would have liked to come and say goodbye before leaving but I have been very busy in the month of September. However, I wanted to write to you to thank you and tell you that I will remember you in prayer. I hope you too will accompany me with yours. Greetings to you all
